1. Who we are
MPB Electronics Ltd, MPB Electronics Ltd, Jinja Road, Kampala, Uganda. Contact: support@mpbelectronicslimited.online · +256 772 410 912 · +256 753 410 912.
1a. Who can buy
You confirm that you are at least 18 years old and have legal capacity to enter into a contract. Orders placed on behalf of a business must be placed by an authorised representative of that business.
1b. Electronic communications
You agree that quotes, invoices, order confirmations, delivery notes, warranty documents and legal notices may be sent to you electronically (email, WhatsApp or SMS). Under Uganda's Electronic Transactions Act, 2011, these have the same legal effect as paper documents.
2. Quotes and pricing
- Prices shown on the website are indicative. A formal quote (Q-YYYY-####) is valid for 7 days from issue.
- All prices are in Uganda Shillings (UGX). Where a price is shown exclusive of VAT it is stated clearly on the quote.
- We reserve the right to correct pricing errors before an order is confirmed.
- Currency, import duty or freight movements outside our control may affect an unaccepted quote – we will send a revised quote for your written acceptance.
3. Orders and payment
- An order is legally formed only when we send a written confirmation (invoice or order number).
- Accepted payment methods: DPO Pay (cards), MTN Mobile Money, Airtel Money, bank transfer, cash on collection, or an approved credit-account limit (see §7).
- For engineered orders (custom solar, containerised gensets) we require a deposit – typically 50% – stated on the quote. Balance is due before dispatch.
- Title in the goods only passes to you once payment has cleared in full.
- We may cancel and fully refund any order that appears fraudulent or where stock is unexpectedly unavailable.
4. Cancellation window
- Stocked items: you may cancel free of charge any time before dispatch.
- Once dispatched, our Returns policy applies.
- Special-order / engineered items: cancellable only before we place the manufacturer order or begin fabrication. After that, any non-recoverable costs are deducted from the refund.
5. Delivery and risk
Delivery times are estimates given in good faith – see our Shipping page. Risk passes to you on delivery. Inspect on receipt and report any damage or shortage on the delivery sheet within 24 hours.
6. Warranty and installation
Warranty is provided per our Warranty page. Installation of generators, solar, pumps and welders must be carried out by a qualified technician; installation by others voids the warranty. We can quote you an authorised installer.
7. Credit accounts (B2B)
- Credit is offered to approved organisations at our discretion, following a credit application (see your account > credit).
- Standard terms: Net 30 days from invoice date unless otherwise agreed in writing.
- Late-payment charge: 2% per month (or part month) on overdue balances, plus the cost of collection.
- We may place an account on stop, reduce the limit, or require security if payments become overdue or if the account holder's credit position deteriorates materially.
- Each order against a credit account must remain within the approved per-order limit and total account limit.
8. Company accounts & approver workflow
Organisations can invite additional buyers with per-order limits and named approvers. Every order placed under a company account is jointly and severally the responsibility of the organisation.
9. Website use & intellectual property
All content on this site (product photography, spec sheets, guides, code) is owned by MPB Electronics Ltd or licensed to us. You may share links and use short quotes with attribution; you may not scrape, republish, or use our imagery in advertising without written permission.
10. Personal data
We process personal data in line with our Privacy Policy and Uganda's Data Protection and Privacy Act, 2019 (as amended).
11. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for any liability that cannot be limited by law. Subject to that:
- Our total liability for any order is capped at the price paid for that order.
- We are not liable for indirect, consequential or lost-profit losses (business interruption, lost production, lost data).
- We are not liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control (power outages, industrial action, government action, transport strikes, natural events, pandemics).
12. Complaints & disputes
- Please raise any complaint first with our support team – most issues are resolved within 3 working days.
- Unresolved disputes are handled by good-faith negotiation, then by the courts of Uganda.
13. Governing law & jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Uganda. The courts of Uganda (Kampala) have exclusive jurisdiction, save that we may bring proceedings in any jurisdiction where you have assets to enforce an unpaid invoice.
13a. Product images and finish
Product photography is for illustration. Actual finish, colour, cable length, control layout and included accessories may vary between production batches – the written specification on the quote or invoice is the binding description.
13b. Force majeure
Neither party is liable for delay or non-performance caused by events beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to load-shedding, fuel shortages, road closures, port congestion, currency controls, epidemics, industrial action, or acts of government. We will notify you as soon as such an event affects your order and, where a workaround exists (alternative model, staged delivery), propose it in writing.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms; the "Last updated" date above always reflects the current version. Material changes will be announced on this page.
